Privacy by design
Privacy Policy
How Softball Game Plan handles account, family, player, recruiting, academic, and public-profile information.
Player profiles are private by default
A profile is not public unless it is intentionally published. For a minor, public sharing requires parent or guardian approval. Public pages exclude account credentials, billing information, exact birthdates, private family records, private notes, and unpublished content.
Effective September 17, 2026
1. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, authentication details, account role, and subscription status.
- Player information entered by a player or family, including graduation year, position, school, team, academics, measurements, statistics, activities, goals, schedules, colleges, camps, videos, and recruiting records.
- Family and collaboration information, including household membership, invitations, permissions, and guardian approvals.
- Technical and usage information needed to secure, operate, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- Payment status and transaction identifiers supplied by our payment processor. Softball Game Plan does not store complete card numbers.
2. How information is used
We use information to provide the private planning workspace, personalize roadmaps and recommendations, manage subscriptions, maintain account security, support users, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
AI-assisted features
When an account enables an AI-assisted feature, selected plan information may be processed to generate the requested response. Private information is not used to train a public profile, and AI output should be reviewed by the player or family.
3. Public profiles and sharing
Only fields intentionally selected for public display appear on a public recruiting profile. Families can unpublish a profile or remove approved sections. Coaches and other visitors may still retain information they previously viewed or saved outside the service, so families should publish only information they are comfortable sharing.
Do not publish a home address, personal phone number, exact birthdate, private school records, account credentials, payment information, or sensitive health information.
4. Children and teens
Softball Game Plan is designed for players and families. A parent or guardian should create or supervise accounts for children under the age required by applicable law and must approve public sharing for a minor. If you believe a child’s information was submitted without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where required.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We may use providers for hosting, authentication, databases, storage, email, payments, analytics, security, and requested AI functionality. They may process information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention, security, and choices
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed for operations, disputes, security, and legal compliance. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and other reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Account owners may update profile information, change sharing settings, unpublish a profile, or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Some records may be retained when legally required or necessary to protect the service.
7. Contact and updates
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@softballgameplan.com. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the current effective date here.
